Angie Chawner

Angie Chawner had always enjoyed art, and when she found herself with more time, she decided the moment was right to give it another go. That was eight years ago.
She came in loving colour and finding perspective difficult. She still loves colour, and the perspective has improved a great deal, though she will tell you it remains the thing she is always working on and probably always will be. She will take on most subjects. Townscapes and portraits are where she keeps landing at the moment.
Lowry is the painter she returns to. The reward of the work, as she describes it, is a simple one: standing back from a painting and realising she has got it right.
