Christine Carol Green

Christine Carol Green has been drawing since she can remember, starting with doodles and working her way up to something she now describes as not bad, average, which is the kind of self-assessment that almost certainly undersells her. Twelve years of classes have given her range: she works in oils and acrylics, tries most things, and keeps coming back to faces and scenes.
She came to the classes as much for the people as for the painting, which turns out to be one of the better reasons. What she wishes she could do more of is draw without copying, working purely from her own eye and imagination. Twelve years in, that ambition is still alive, which suggests she is still genuinely engaged with the work rather than simply comfortable in it.
She has been painting for twelve years.
