Louise Piper

Louise Piper picked up a paintbrush again after nearly two decades away from art. She'd done some painting at school and a couple of evening classes, but life got in the way, and it wasn't until she decided she wanted a proper hobby that she came back to it.
She describes herself as someone drawn to nature, animals and sky, with a tendency toward detail that she's still learning to wrestle with. Recently she faced down a six-year avoidance of portraits, tried one, and surprised herself. That moment of discovering how much she'd developed without noticing is a good way to understand how Louise approaches painting: steadily, quietly, and with more confidence than she gives herself credit for.
She has been painting for around six or seven years.
