Sue Gee

Sue Gee always liked drawing as a child, mostly copying things from magazines, but never imagined it would lead anywhere. She came back to art through adult education watercolour classes, and eventually found her way to oils, wanting more guidance and a more serious approach to the craft.
Three years in, she will tell you she is still learning, which is probably the right attitude for someone who loves portraiture, old buildings and the streets of France and Italy. Hands remain the great challenge. She is particularly inspired by portrait artists Jennifer Anderson and Frances Bell, and speaks warmly about the experience of watching a single line or highlight transform a painting into exactly what she was trying to achieve.
She has been painting for three years.
